Welcome!

I’m guessing you landed here because you were looking to eat healthier, live better, or it was a complete and total accident… or was it an accident (she says as X-Files music starts up in the background)? Whatever the reason, all I can say is Welcome!

A lot is going on here, so let me take a moment and introduce you to Nutrichologist.
(Cool name? If you want to know more about what it means and how it came about, read this).

My ultimate mission with Nutrichologist is to uncomplicate healthy living, eating, and thinking. I’m all about everyday health and everyday eating. So how do I go about doing this?

Blogs > The blogs focus on understanding single concepts like an ingredient, a nutrient, or a life principle. It’s also a space where I introduce subjects that sometimes need a little thought, no action or learning required, just a moment of your time.

Recipes > The recipes are plant-based and use health-promoting ingredients. Where possible, variations and substitutions are listed to accommodate various dietary needs.

Nutrimentals > Nutrimental (n) from Latin word nutrimentum, a source of nourishment, food, an agent that promotes growth or development. Nutrimentals is the education component. You will find live and online classes, as well as valuable resources on this page.

Free Stuff> Well, it’s called free in internet-speak, but in truth, there is an exchange. For the cost of your email address and subscription, you get free resources (including workbooks, fun digital downloads, recipe books) and more.

Subscription > Besides getting access to the totally cool Free Stuff, I also send you updates on anything new (like blogs, recipes, events, classes etc.). In addition, I share my personal story and why I decided to start Nutrichologist and a personal note now and then. It will be things related to Nutrichologist that might be of value to you. Nothing spammy, I promise! If you don’t think it’s adding value, you are welcome to unsubscribe – no hard feelings.

Start with things you can do as you do your normal morning activities.⁠
⁠
🤸🏼Most of us stretch anyway when we wake up, why not take it up a notch. Get out of bed, and reach up as high as you can. Keep reaching up until you are on your tippy-toes and then relax.⁠
⁠
🏡 This might not be so much fun in colder areas, but if you can, swing open those windows and get some fresh air or go to another room if it's going to cause a ruckus with your significant other 😜. ⁠
⁠
🌬️Breathing - Probably the most simple, yet underrated exercise. Take a deep slow breath in and release it just as slowly. Use the expanding and retracting circles to help you time it. (Your vagus nerve will thank you). ⁠
⁠
💦If you aren't wide awake and energised by doing all of the above, then a splash of cool water will most certainly do the trick. You can fit this in just before or after you brush your teeth.⁠
⁠
🍵If water isn't your thing, try a cup of herbal tea. Your favourite cup of java is fine, but it is a diuretic. Be sure to add other sources of hydration to your routine.⁠
⁠
.... I know the pictures make it all look zen and calm, but the truth is if you do all of these little things, you are more likely to be belting out Irene Cara - What a feeling, than being all chill.⁠

Just don't get too carried away and splash that cool water over your head, somebody will have to clean up all that water 😂🤣.⁠
