Greetings fellow online citizens
Privacy policies are a must for websites; unfortunately, there is no one policy to rule them all, which means different regions have different policies.
The following policy is written per South African law known as the Protection of Personal Information Act, or POPI Act, as we call it. (FYI: South Africa is where Trevor Noah, Charlize Theron and Elon Musk come from).
For those not from South Africa, the POPI Act is the equivalent of the European GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and CalIOPPA (California Privacy Protection Act) and covers all visitors to the website.
(Means: third-party media channel, platform, channel, social or public forums).
Other than the information you have already provided or freely made available publicly, no further information is taken or given between Nutrichologist and these platforms/channels.
Newsletters, Resources & Contact Forms
(Includes correspondence, contact or discussion)
When you access a resource or sign up for a newsletter, you will be asked for your name and email address. It is accepted that Nutrichologist then has permission to email you about its various offerings.
Nutrichologist uses Third Party (see below) services to safely and efficiently manage correspondence and contact details.
When you respond to an email, send a message or use a contact form, you may receive a direct response from me if one is required. Your email will be deleted once the correspondence is completed, or it will be saved if it’s needed at a later stage for reference.
You will always have an opt-out option for newsletters. Scroll to the end of any email you have received from Nutrichologist, and you will find the option to unsubscribe or manage your preferences.
Nutrichologist uses GetResponse, which helps send out and manage the delivery of free resources and newsletters. They are based in the United States and comply with the Privacy Laws of their country. They have no direct dealings with you and do not share your details with their other clients. If you wish to unsubscribe or subscribe, you will be referred to Nutrichologist.
IT Service Providers:
Nutrichologist uses service providers to host the website, store backups, and assist with IT queries, design and development. There is seldom, if ever, an opportunity for them to access subscriber or community details. If this is needed, they are subject to data privacy agreements.
Google Analytics: Nutrichologist uses Google Analytics (see Cookie Section for more information)
At times, Nutrichologist will initiate surveys which may require you to enter your name and email address and to answer questions related to your likes or dislikes. This information is collated and used to help Nutrichologist provide content and services that meet the community’s needs. By participating in the survey, you are giving permission for the information to be used as Nutrichologist sees fit. This information is never sold, given or used by anyone outside Nutrichologist
